My Ohio State capstone game.

A trailer showing off an earlier build of the game.

During the semester long capstone, I created sound effects for many mechanics ranging from hyperspace travel to item pickups and cannon fire, along with producing the game's soundtrack. After the capstone ended, some of us had another semester left and continued working on the project. During this time I integrated FMOD into the game and converted all of its audio implementation over to FMOD. I also worked on an improved physics-based movement system that gave the ships a more authenticly 'floaty' space feeling.

This was the first track I wrote for the game and I immediately knew that this was the theme that would set the tone for the rest of my work.

I made 2 more ambient "exploration" tracks for when the player wasn't in combat, and was flying around one of the games procedurally generated solar systems, this was the first.

The second exploration track and one that ended up being used for the trailer.

This one took on a darker tone and was made for the game's boss fights. All of the synths in this soundtrack were made in UVI Falcon.

I wrote and produced this entire soundtrack in just a few weeks and during finals, in order to meet the capstone's submission deadline, so its production was rushed and left a little unfinished. Eventually everyone graduated and moved onto other projects including myself, but I'm still very happy with what we all learned and accomplished together.
